Gas line installation, repairs and inspections

Gas problems are a safety risk to your family and your home. Warning signs include a rotten egg smell, a yellow flame on your cooktop, or a hissing sound near appliances. If you notice any of these, turn off the gas at the meter and call us.

Our licensed gasfitters handle gas line work from finding and repairing leaks to valve repairs, inspections and new installations, so you know your gas lines are safe.

For new gas lines, we start by assessing your property and planning the route to every appliance you want connected. Installs include shut-off valves and pressure regulators where required.

Frequently asked questions

Gas services FAQs

What should I do if I smell gas?

Turn off the gas at the meter, open doors and windows, and don't use light switches, phones or naked flames near the smell. Then call a licensed gasfitter. Never attempt gas repairs yourself.

Can I install a gas appliance myself?

No. In NSW, gas work must be done by a licensed gasfitter. This keeps your home safe and makes sure the installation is compliant.

Why is my cooktop flame yellow?

A yellow or orange flame can mean the burner isn't getting the right mix of gas and air. It may be a blocked burner or an appliance fault, and it should be checked by a licensed gasfitter.

Can you add a new gas point to my home?

Yes. We assess your property, plan the route from the meter to the appliance, and install the line with shut-off valves and pressure regulators where required.
